Day 8 and 9 - Chong Qing

We are finally back in Chongqing after an hour's flight and a 6-hour bus ride from Chengdu. Chongqing was celebrating a major event and our plane from Tibet could not land there. Anyway, our hotel at night!

We visited Er Ling Park that overlooks the city.

The guide arranged for us to visit another park that is about 5-hour ride away. But we decided that we needed shopping so we stayed in town and waited for the bus to pick us up at night. Silly decision cos there's nothing to buy there and it was a pain. We missed a world heritage site called Da Zhu. That was not in the itinerary originally so we did not know that we missed a treasure. Anyway, below is Jie Fan Bei with shopping centres. Clean toilets at last!
The vicinity we stayed in - Hong Ya Dong. Quite a unique area with lotsa locals too.

This should be Yellow River. If not, it is Jia Ning River.

And that sums up the whole trip! It sure is an experience on high ground and mingling with the locals on the train.
