Day 1 - Tibet

It is a night flight and we will reach Chongqing at around 12 a.m. That is us at 5 plus p.m. on 8 June 2007. Yep, and that is my last trip in spectacles haha!
The 3 schoolmates who will overcome all odds and still cheery at this point ...
Ah Beng & her new bag pack. We are the new twin. She owns the blue one and I carry the red one.
Check out our hotel. Hong Ya Dong. I still love the hotel, be it the interior and the exterior. Makes me feel like an empress with its grandeur.

Lao gong and I are still separated ...

It is my 1st time in China and I am impressed by the decor and the amenities in the room.
Ya. I know this is too much. But this is my lao gong's obsession with toilet bowl which is really a luxury in our soon-to-be hard trip.
Gosh. Even the basin takes you back to the ancient times.
It is really late and because we can't show you the exterior yet, check out the room service menu which gives quite an accurate view. It's almost 2 a.m. at night and we will only have to make do with 4 hours of sleep for another long drive tomorrow. What a pity for such a nice room!

  • Hi,

Nice blog! Tibet is one of the few areas on the earth that has a direct solar radiation. The UV content of the sun rays is comparatively higher. Also their reflections off the snow-clad mountains can damage your eye sight. So, to protect yourself from this you must carry a quality pair of sunglasses and sun screen lotions with a higher degree of a sun protection factors during Tibet travel. Thanks...

  • Tibet has been an independent country throughout the historical period and since time immemorial according to Tibetans own myth-based sense of national identity. This place is full of some of the rarest sights that will surely provide a treat to the eyes. Thank you...
