Adventure Phuket

Yeah! JW is back to blog about Phuket and those waiting for NZ blog and Tibet blog will have to wait for a long while before mx and I decide to find time to slowly post the pics.

I guess the group now sees Phuket in a different light cos instead of wasting our life in the superbly nice suites, we ended spending our days pursuing various adventures! This meant we only slept for less than 5 hours each night...yucks X 100 times...cos i was looking forward to replenish my sleep and reduce the dark eye rings. Anyway, a summary of activities and then the fotos! The fotos will be posted without proper sequence since I don't have all of them. I will post them within the week and it is hard not to smile when the group sees the fotos cos we risk our lives, bare our hearts and souls and some parts of our bodies hahaha during this trip.

The group consists of yv, auntie tok, mh, sj, kw, angie, JM (jer's new nick) and partner, mx and jw. gosh! 10 people loh...where can you find such a big group these days and we are not working in the same company!! amazing huh? I think it's unbelievable ... miss Phuket, miss the crowd

Day 1 (31 Aug)

  • arrival of yv lee and auntie tok in morn
  • arrival of 5 pple excl JM, MX and myself in noon
  • arrival of JM at night (JM missed his flight in noon. Called mx and I in airport and we all laughed! cos he proclaimed on the previous night that he would never ever miss his flight. "Ti Ki" )
  • Grocery shopping at the new shopping mall at Patong
  • Baring of hearts between angie and kw (they claimed to tok till 3am)

Day 2 (1 Sep)

  • All Terrain Vehicle ride (angie, yv, auntie, sj, JM and partner) - heard that angie headed for a tree. SJ finally agreed that it is better than the snow mobile we took in Japan, keke.
  • mx and jw took bus to bedok interchange for fried carrot cake and headed to airport for early checking. WE do not want to pay another $200+ for another flight like JM.
  • Central Mall shopping
  • Fuji Restaurant
  • Dinner at Tiger Inn
  • Chiong at Ago-go bar (a male prostitute tried to get near to mx haha, 1st time seeing male openly groping at another male's crotch, 1st time seeing males swaying shoulders on stage and mx and JM say they also can do it and will do it for angie, 1st time seeing male pole dancers - it looks like the guys in our group will keep reminding us what we saw in that bar and we will juz break down, laughing hilariously)
  • Chiong at another bar (forgot the name) - but cover charge was only 50 baht (S$4) and mixers were going at 100 baht (S$8) i tink. Music was bad cos the DJ juz couldn't do the link nicely.

Day 3 (2 Sept)

  • White water rafting - adventure of our life! better than the ones in NZ, australia and chiangmai, best experience by mx, sj and yv. cos the thai people juz bochap. It was raining heavily on that day and we thought that it would be cancelled. But the operator said, "No problem." Anyway, very roller coaster ride and angie and I just posed with our oars. no time to row cos the current was strong and basically the boatsmen all just charged for any boulders or rocks they see and successfully made us scream and lose our foothold. So bad that JM and partner even landed on me when the "hit" was bad. Imagine 100 kg on me and then later 70kg..urgh. Other than heading for boulders, the Thai people love water. All of us oredi fully wet before we started cos they started using their oars and helmet to splash water at us....urghh. However, crowd was good. We had more than 40 people (from various countries, angmoh, koreans and someone fully clothed) rafting and splashing water!
  • kw and mh din join us in morn and headed for Angsana Spa (high class people)
  • mx, mh, kw and thai fren went to phuket town to find tailor and to eat. (they ate at Naturale Restuarant, a very unique place with good and cheap food). The rest of us bathed in rooms and nua abit.
  • Massage at Let's Relax
  • Dinner at Madam Lim's (great ambience, good food, nice cake)
  • Drinking session (played the number game, dice and Indian poker) - JM is a lousy drinker. 1st and last one to puke. sj, angie and I had to clean the floor. Puke was made up of red wine and pomelo!!!

4th day (3 Sep)

  • Paintball (stupid yv was aiming for my butt but auntie saved me...auntie and I were the last ones standing hahaha cos we were in hiding most of the time, JM got a bad bruise on his hand)
  • Lunch at Naturale (this is the restaurant that is built like a tree house and we climbed to the roof on creaking wooden steps for our 20-course lunch... yes, they ordered a feast meant for pigs!)
  • Departure of 6 pple
  • Thai massage for mx and I, foot massage for auntie at Let's Relax again
  • Late supper to clear the remains

Food left in fridge in Allamanda

  • big bowl of grapes
  • 1 tray of pomelo
  • 4 or more cans of coke light
  • 3 cups of yogurt
  • about 8 pieces of donuts from Dunkin and Mister Donut (i am damn sick of donuts)
  • an almost full bottle of Bailey's
  • a big bottle of sprite
  • few bottles of mineral water
  • one big pack of green tea

Alcohol Consumption: Low (cos we got drivers who had to ferry us to and fro along the qiu ming shan road - winding, hilly road)

  • 1 bottle of red wine
  • 1 bottle of white wine
  • a few sips of vodka
  • a few sips of bailey's
  • one can of thai beer

5th day onwards - all of us suffering from serious depression in Singapore and still suffering ...
