Hokkaido Day 3
Aha, now you can see the white specks of snow clearly! The yellow bus behind was where we spent days kooning hah! The bus number is however "164". Luckily we were not suay at all.
We are now at the famous White Chocolate factory.
The factory has this old English town style. It's like visitng Charlie's Chocolate factory.
That's the name of the factory. 白色恋人.
The chocolates are only sold in Hokkaido. The famous product is the white chocolate biscuits. We will share them with our JC friends during the xmas party!
The pink cones behind may look ugly but they are there to protect the roses in the harsh winter. Imagine visiting this place during spring and the flowers bloom. It will be a mixture of aroma of chocolate and the sweet scent of roses.
"The Other Four" second group photo.
Thanks Shujun for capturing a nice pic of me keke. Hopefully this will undo my supermodel image.
Check out the beautiful sugar decoration for your cakes and pastries. They are not cheap. Most cost more than 1000 yen. Wanted to get for Jenny's baby gal but I think we should not bring her up into a sweet-toothed gal.
Anyway, most of us spent like 6000 yen in this shop, stocking up the white chocolate biscuits to be given to close friends and colleagues. Lucky they accept credit in this shop.
This is lunch at a shop that also sells lavender products. Scallop and fried potato were nice!
It was snowing outside the shop. Can you see the white specks? We must take this down as evidence.
You would probably have realised that his jackets are all very thin! Polar Bear...grrr.
We next visited a lavender farm. No pics of lavender though cos Jeremy has not passed me his photos! But the white house at the far end is the greenhouse where they cultivate their lavender during winter months. On the rest of the seasons, the whole field will be covered in lavender!
So postcard right?
See how deep the snow is! A few kids were already throwing snowballs at each other.
How nice it would be to stay in a house like this during winter with a pictureque view! Even the snow-covered houses and trees look cute cute.
Ahhh..white doggie outside that house!
Another postcard!
Nothing much to see but we were still happy. The bus ran off and we were stranded in this ulu place so we took the time to take pics and play with snow.
This is our 3rd night's room. It's tatami! The room is really small and Shujun took this from the end of the room!
The night ended with us enjoying hot-spring in the snow! No pics cos I can't show you naked men and women haha. In Japan, the common bathroom is where the people bath together. We enter a common changing room, strip ourselves naked and then walk to the common bathroom. At there, we shower thoroughly. No cubicles hor. So we shower openly. Plastic stools are provided for you to sit as you shower. Then we immerse ourselves into the indoor hot-spring pool slowly. One cannot stay in the pool for too long lest you faint. So we shower again. Then we dip into the hot hot pool again. Following that, we can walk to the outdoor pool and dip in a hot tub! Imagine sitting in the hot tub and the snow hitting your face and enjoying the white view outside! Heavenly ....
Before I end, guys and gals bath separately hor, keke
