Day 6 - Rosslyn Chapel,Newbattle Abbey College and Edinburgh Castle

Rosslyn Chapel. In the book, it was mentioned that the bones of Mary (Jesus's Wife) was lying here. But anyway, this is a superbly old church. It is pretty but as you can see from the scaffolding above, there's much restoration to be done. The interiors are beautiful but I won't be showing you since the pics are too dark for admiration and there are too many stories about the carvings that I have cleanly forgotten.

Up till now, I do not understand why we were at Newbattle Abbey College for Grail Talk when they just gave us a welcome talk. Duh X 10 times

Above the cliff is Edinburgh Castle. That means we had to climb.

Even the street name suggests so.

And taut butts again.

How did they get the castle on top?

Of all the castles, this one gives me a real castle feel. It's old, it's Scottish and it looks like many battles had taken place here.

Check the gargoyles on the middle tower protuding on the top. Yep, I am so in love with the gargoyles.

Okie, we are outta castle. This is the town of Edinburgh. This is where JK Rowling drew her inspiration from. All the buildings here are classic historic buildings.

St Giles' Cathedral

This is the old town with lotsa turns and small streets. Weather was nice too, like Genting. Even the streets are paved in stones.

And the town can't shake off its past with police still riding on big horses.

This is the Scott Monument in the middle of the shopping street.

End of Da Vinci Code trail ...

Conclusion: The main objective of the organisers is to allow us to have a sneak preview and tempt us to visit the countries again. I will go back but I will not go back with a tour group keke.

Hokkaido...here I come!
